Innovez One is strengthening and expanding its presence in the key South East Asian market, with the arrival of business manager George Wong who will help ports in the region achieve their digital ambitions.
Business manager George Wong will focus on developing Innovez One’s presence and partnerships in countries including Malaysia, India, Vietnam, the Philippines and Thailand, where many fast-growing ports are looking for new digital solutions to streamline operations and become more efficient and sustainable.
With 10 years of experience in the information technology and services industry, Mr Wong brings his in-depth knowledge of the market and his impressive network of contacts across the region. Prior to joining Innovez One in January 2021, he worked with Ricoh Singapore, UOB and American Express.
His arrival represents a significant acceleration of Innovez One’s bold ambitions for South East Asia, where it wants to enable ports of all sizes to compete as smart ports. The company is committed to unlocking the full potential of the region’s mid-size and smaller ports, which represent 80% of the market, through a greater digitalisation and optimisation of their tug, pilot and service boat solutions.
Innovez One’s flagship software, marineM, uses digital technology and AI models to manage port and nautical services entire operations, delivering efficiencies that save significant costs, time and improve the sustainability of port operations. The software is already in use in some of Asia’s busiest ports, such as Singapore and Tanjung Priok (Indonesia), where it delivers significant savings in fuel and maintenance costs.
With the addition of George Wong to the company’s Singapore headquarters, Innovez One is on track to help South Asian ports undertake the digital transition with confidence, thereby contributing to the economic development and sustainability of the region.
