STAFF and students in an institution often need to consult their personal timetable. Scientia designed the Web Grid Report Requester (WGRR) precisely to meet this need.
Instead of authorising thousands of users individually, WGRR authorises them through designated roles. Timetables requested, in the form of Reports, can be displayed on screen or printed.
The system eliminates the requirement to permit access to such Reports through the Authorisation Manager. Instead, permission is granted by the simple adoption of roles.
Another application, the Enterprise Grid Report Designer, publishes the timetables in specific grid-style formats and layouts. The user cannot alter the report’s layout. He or she can, however, set particular parameters for the Report requested such as:
