Since July 2005, the Wireless Communications Centre of UTM treats VIP visitor with a special multimedia tour of its facility using I1's adaptation of ScienceALIVE on a tabletPC platform. By incorporating indoor positioning technology into the solution, the system tracks the real-time location of the WiFi enabled TabletPC device and streams multimedia content describing the history and story of the centre.

Taking a step forward with Indoor Positioning technology, WCC has also implemented a Visitor Security Solution. Each visitor coming to WCC receives a WiFi tag, dynamically assigned a security code based on his purpose of visit. The security code grants access to certain areas within the facility. When the visitor moves into unauthorised areas not granted by just assigned security code, an alarm will sound and the breached area together with his real-time location will be displayed on the manager console screen.
